Willie Mccannon

Willie (Susan) McCannon joined God and her loved ones gone on before Saturday, July 28, 2018.

Wendt Funeral Home, Moline, is handling arrangements. Visitation will be at 5 p.m. and services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2.

Susan was born in Alabama and later moved to Illinois. She spent several years in Andalusia and the last 16 years in Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline. Susan was a fun-loving person and loved to dance at all of Hope Creek’s Senior Proms.

Willie Susan was born to Purvie Thomas and Willie Gertrude Morris Williams.

Willie Susan is survived by one son, Lamar McCannon, of Austin, Texas; one sister, Louise (Steve) Watters; two brothers, Thomas (Linda) Williams, Milan, and Wayne (Marsha) Williams, of Brunmdige, Ala.; a special former brother-in-law, Rick Whitcomb; a special aunt, Nettie Ingvall; and many loved nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Lois Faye Whitcomb and Mart Jewel Gulick.

Thank all of Hope Creek for the care and friendship of Susan.
