View Video Tribute William Rumler, 81, of Moline, IL, died Monday, July 20, 2009, at home with all his family by his side. Visitation will be Thursday, July 23rd, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Friday, July 24th, at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, IL, with Military Rites accorded by American Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice. William R. Rumler was born in Carbon Cliff, IL, on July 3, 1928, to William and Grace (Samuelson) Rumler. On March 25, 1950, he married Mary Lee Hulett, who survives. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 through 1947. He was employed by International Harvester Company Farmall Works in Rock Island, IL, for 37 years, retiring as a Foreman. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by sons: Tim (Val) Rumler of Moline and Brett (Judy) Rumler of Davenport, IA; daughter: Lora (Mike) Weber of Tulsa, OK; daughter-in-law: Jane Rumler of Moline; grandsons: Zachary (Kim Cartwright) Rumler, Casey Rumler, Caleb (Carey Shuck) Rumler, Ryan Rumler, all of Moline, and Seth (Amanda) Weber of Glenpool, OK; granddaughters: Joey (Langston Whiles) Rumler of Colona, IL, Lee Ann Martinez of Moline, Monica Rumler of Miami, FL, Naomi (Tom) Brockus and Rachel (Brad) Burosh, all of Broken Arrow, OK; five great-granddaughters, two great-grandsons; sisters: JoAnn (Warren) Jennings of East Moline, IL and Janice Aitken of Rock Island, IL; and brothers: Don (Delores) Rumler of Bloomington, WI, Ken (Lois) Rumler and Bob (Carmen) Rumler, all of Moline, and Gary Rumler of Sherrard, IL. He was preceded in death by a son: Richard, a great-granddaughter, a sister, and three brothers.
