Wilbur "Pete" Nagle, 80, of Moline, IL, died Monday, June 14, 2010, at Trinity Medical Center West in Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 16th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with services immediately following at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, Rock Island, IL, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 17th. Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #246. Those wishing to participate in the procession to the cemetery, are asked to be at the funeral home by 9:30 a.m. on June 17th. Memorials may be made to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City, IA, or to the Childrens Hospital in Peoria, IL. Wilbur Roy Nagle was born in Danville, IL, on November 23, 1929, to Wilbur Roy, Sr. and Lydia (Traylor) Nagle. On January 26, 1957, in Green Rock, IL, he married Beverly Strader, who survives. He was a plasterer in the Quad City area for over 40 years, working out of the Plasterers, Cement Masons, & Shop Hands Union Local #18. He retired in 1992. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved archery all of his life. In addition to his wife, Beverly, survivors include: sons: Joe (Kayla) Nagle of Moline; Ed (Tracey) Nagle of Rock Island; Jan Marino of Milan, IL; Dan Marino of East Moline; Dennis Marino of Platte City, MO; two sisters: June Franklin of Davenport, IA, and Beverly Bergstrom of Spokane, WA; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his black lab "Lady". He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and a daughter, Julee Lane Marino.
