Wendell E Sullivan

Wendell E. Sullivan, 82, of Moline, IL, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at his home. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A gathering of friends and family will take place Saturday, April 18th, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. He was born December 12, 1932 in Moline, son of Earl and Laura (Krapp) Sullivan. Wendell was a graduate of Coal Valley High School in Coal Valley, IL. He spent twelve years on the river as a commercial fisherman, and had worked for the Corp of Engineers as a draftsman. His second primary job in life was at International Harvester Company. He was a man of many talents; he carried a press pass for photographing races at Elkhart, IN, and once did a full page photo spread on the fishing industry in Two Rivers, WI. He had the highest class amateur ham radio license available. He loved going to auctions, and enjoyed guns, boats (he built the first air boat in this area), fishing, woodworking, music, and reading. He especially loved traveling with his best friend, Belinda, or going on Photography Shoots with her. Survivors include his best friend, Belinda K Wilson; nieces, Sue (Dave) DeBayne and Liz (Carl) Hart; and nephews, Chris Beiderbecke and Bob Giacomelli. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Arlene Beiderbecke and Marilyn Giacomelli.
