Walter A Banderob

Walter A. Banderob, age 92, of East Moline, IL. died on Thursday, May 17, 2007, at Illini Hospital in Silvis, IL. Walter A. Banderob was born on May 31, 1914, to Klaus and Anna (Krueger) Banderob in Schelrade, Germany He married Elfriede E. Schnoor on May 20, 1942, in Kiel, Germany. He was employed by Borden's Dairy in Rock Island, IL for twenty years. He was then employed as a Health Officer for the City of Moline, IL for 10 years, retiring in 1981. Walter was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moline where he previously served on various boards and committees and sang in the choir. He was a State Regulatory Microbiologist & Regulatory Sanitarian for the State of Illinois, a member of the U.S. Environmental Health Association, the State of Illinois Health Association, and the German-American National Congress. A funeral service will be held on May 19, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to start of the service. Entombment will follow at Moline Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moline, IL. He is survived by his wife, Elfriede. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and one sister.
