Virginia A Jones

Virginia Ann Jones, 83, Pompano Beach, Florida, formerly of Moline, died at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, on February 9th. Private graveside services were held February 16th at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. There was no visitation. Wendt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Virginia was born on August 4, 1926 in Moline, to Basil L. and Goldie Hart Erickson. She graduated from Moline High School and attended Moline Public Hospital School of Nursing. She married Raymond R. Jones on April 2, 1947 in Danville, IL. He preceded her in death in July 2009. She worked as a travel agent in Ft. Lauderdale and enjoyed many world travels. Survivors include sons Thomas (Laura), Pearland, TX, and Timothy (Susie), Okeechobee, FL, and a brother, Dr. Paul (Marion) Erickson, Rock Island, one nephew and three nieces.
