Violet E Seitz

Violet E. Seitz, 88, of East Moline, IL, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at Trinity Pathway Hospice in Bettendorf, IA. Per her wishes, the body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Violet E. Krieger was born in Moline on March 22, 1923, to Jacob and Blanche (Vincent) Kreiger. She married Harold Seitz on April 27, 1941, in Palmyra, MO. She was a homemaker, taught Sunday school, and was active in PTA at Franklin, Roosevelt, and Wilson schools. She was a member of the Y, loved golf and swimming, and was a very good seamstress. In addition to her husband, Harold, survivors are: a daughter: Andrea (Larry) Gull of East Moline; sons: Gary Seitz of Springfield, IL, and Jay Seitz of Denver, CO; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, and a daughter, Victoria Seitz Hoffman. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Stewart Garneau and staff, and to the "earth angels" at Trinity Pathway Hospice.
