Vernette E. Jensen

Vernette E. Jensen, 94, of Moline, passed away with family by her side, at Bickford Cottage, in Moline, IL.

A private family service will be held at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline.

Memorials may be made to First United Presbyterian Church in Moline.

Vernette E. Ogden was born October 16th, 1926, in Davenport, IA, daughter to Willard A. and Gertrude (Malone) Ogden.

On November 26th, 1948, at First United Presbyterian Church, she married Bob C. Jensen, who preceded her in death October 18, 2016.

She was a 72-year member of her church. She sang in the choir, served on the Board of Trustees, taught and supervised Sunday school children, served as a financial secretary, and she was instrumental in helping to establish a junior church. Learning the art of pencil drawing and the craft of needlework, gave her great pleasure..

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy (Brian) Ware of Wyoming; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Brian.
