Veda J Walton

Veda Walton, 73, of Moline, IL, died Thursday, September 25, 2008, at Genesis-Illini Campus in Silvis, IL. Visitation will be Monday, September 29th, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Tuesday, September 30th, at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Veda J. Cunningham was born in Moline, on June 15, 1935, to Carl and Florence Hobbs Cunningham. She married Ronald Anderson in Moline, in 1954. Later, she married Duane W. Walton on September 15, 1973, in Milan, IL, and he preceded her in death December 31, 2000. Veda was employed by Hardee's on Kennedy Drive, in Moline, for 17 years, last working Monday, September 22nd. Survivors include: a daughter: Kris (Brad Peek) Anderson of Buffalo, IA; a son: Rick (Teresa) Anderson of Etna, CA; a brother, Jim Cunningham of Moline; grandchildren: Jason, Erin, Lindsey, and Blake; and great-grandchildren: Jason Jr, Caine, Kaitlyn, and Kylee. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two brothers: Billy and Jerry Cunningham.
