Troy J. Hunzeker

Troy J. Hunzeker, 56, of Moline, IL, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at his home.

Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. No services will be held.

Troy J. Hunzeker the son of Joe and Susan (Evans) Hunzeker was born May 18, 1965, in Norfolk, NE.

Troy graduated from Moline High School in 1983, where he lettered in football and basketball. His career was spent as a police officer for the Grant County Wisconsin Sheriff's Department. After retiring from from Grant County Sheriff’s department, he moved back to the Quad Cities area working in Sherrard and Hampton, IL. He also worked in the security department at Unity Point Hospital in Rock Island.

Survivors include parents: mother, Susan Hunzeker of Rock Island, IL; father, Joe Hunzeker of Marble Falls, TX; a brother, Todd Hunzeker, and a nephew, Cole Hunzeker, both of Geneseo, IL.

He was a member of the NRA, a firearm instructor, and field training officer for the swat team. He enjoyed boating, water sports, hunting, and outdoor activities.

Memorials can be made to Quad-City Animal Welfare Center, Milan, IL.
