Troy C. Casto

Troy C. Casto, 74, of Moline, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at his home. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 28th at 8:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with a two-hour visitation prior to the service beginning at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Troy was born March 26, 1943 in Craigsville, WV, the son of Carl and Della (Hartley) Casto. On June 11, 1994, in Moline, he married Sandy Fontenoy, who survives. He was employed by McLaughlin Body Company for thirty-five years, retiring in 2005. Troy enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, playing poker, and he especially loved spending time with his grandkids. In addition to his wife, Sandy, survivors include, daughters, Tina Casto-Baccamazzi of Plant City, FL, Barbara Ingram of Rock Island, IL, and Stephanie Casto of Moline; son, Joe Hinkle of Moline; stepsons, Edward Fontenoy of Aledo, IL, Shon Fontenoy of Milan, IL, and Bert Fontenoy of Moline; sisters, Ann and Rose Hinkle; a brother, Thurman Casto; grandchildren, T.C., Amber, Nick, Taylor, Ryan, Daniel and Bentley Casto, Zachary, Kylie, Macayla, and Madison Fontenoy, Michael and Morgan Baccamazzi, Mark York, and Damien Moody; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Jackie O’Quinn and Mary Starcher.
