Thomas John Perse

Thomas J Perse, 81, of Moline, IL, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014, at UnityPoint-Trinity West in Rock Island, IL. Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2015. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, 724 – 2nd Avenue West, Milan, IL 61264. Thomas John Perse was born in Milwaukee, WI, on October 21, 1933, to Frank and Winefred (Rutkowski) Perse. On September 29, 1956, he married Barbara Eve Feld, who survives. Tom graduated from Notre Dame High School in Milwaukee, and served in the U.S. Navy. He was self-employed, owning Account Adjusters, and several glass companies in the Quad Cities. He enjoyed fishing, the Cubs, and crossword puzzles. In addition to his wife, Barbara, survivors include a daughter, Toni Marie Perse of Rock Island; a grandson, Thomas Jared Perse of Moline; and a sister, Gloria Gueldner of New Orleans, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Frank and Robert.
