Thelma Viola Taylor

Thelma Viola Taylor, 98, of East Moline, IL, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Illini Restorative Care Center in Silvis, IL. Services will be Monday, July 25th, at 11:00 a.m., at First Christian Church, 3501 - 7th Street, East Moline., with a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery in Richland, IA. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, East Moline. Thelma Viola Graham was born in Keokuk County, IA, on November 12, 1912, to John and Mary Jane (Bottorff) Graham. On April 11, 1934, in Unionville, MO, she married Demar C. Taylor, who preceded her in death on October 13, 1999. She was employed by Vogue Cleaners for 21 years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of First Christian Church in East Moline. Thelma was a member of Eastern Star, and very much enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Survivors include: sons: Max D.Taylor of Highland, California, and Rex D.(Patricia)Taylor of East Moline; grandchildren: Dena, Tracy, Randall, Kim, Kelly, Krista, and Kyle; and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
