Tamara Custard

Tamara “T.J.” Custard, 68, of Silvis, IL, formerly of Moline, IL, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at her home. Visitation will be Sunday, December 1 st , from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with services at 5:00 p.m.  Burial will be Monday, December 2 nd , at 10:00 a.m., at Henderson Cemetery in Henderson, IL.          Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established at a later date. Tamara was born in Galesburg, IL, on December 8, 1950, to Leslie and Dorothy (Ostander) Hanneman.  On January 5, 2003, in Rock Island, IL, she married Gordon Custard, who survives. Tamara was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant. She worked as a health care provider for many years at the former Parkview Nursing Home and Aspenwood Health Care.  She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, reading, and swimming. The biggest joy of her life was her family. In addition to her husband, survivors include her children, Eric (Angie) Burns, and Anthony Burns, all of Silvis, IL, and Bradley Custard of Galesburg, IL; a sister, Paula Thurman of Moline; brothers, Jeffery “Rusty” (Sonja) Hanneman of Moline, and Milton Hanneman of Port Byron, IL; grandchildren, Keegan, Kenadi, Nevaeh, and Brayden Burns, all of Silvis, IL, and several nieces and nephews.                                                                                She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jan and Mark. A special thanks to hospice, visiting nurses, and Chaplin Steve Anderson.
