Syble Harker

Syble, “Kitty” Harker, 93, of East Moline, IL, died Monday, November 26, 2018, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, IA. Visitation will be Sunday, December 2 nd , from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL.  Services will be Monday, December 3 rd , at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with burial in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family. Syble Doyle was born in Mound City, IL, on July 5, 1925, to Daly and Ethel (Miller) Doyle. On July 20, 1946, in Rock Island, IL, she married Herbert D. Harker, who preceded her in death October 6, 2015. “Kitty” was a homemaker, and a member of the Four Square Church in East Moline.  She loved cats and loved to feed wild birds. Survivors include daughters, Gloria Winthurst, Penny Harker, and Robin Johnson, all of East Moline, and Patricia Roberts of Colona, IL; a son, Don (Kathy) Harker of East Moline; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Larrison, a grandchild, Michelle Waggoner, and a son-in-law, Arthur Winthurst.
