Steve Grubaugh, 53, of Moline, IL, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 3rd, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Thursday, February 4th, at 10:30 am, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Bloom Cemetery in Tiskilwa, IL. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established later. Steve was born in Moline on March 6, 1962, to Robert and Shirley (Jensen) Grubaugh. On May 4, 1984, in Moline, he married Jill Peterson, who survives. He graduated with the Moline High School Class of 1980, and was employed by Peterson Parking Lot and Striping Company of Carbon Cliff, IL, for 27 years. He also did snow-removal and lawn management. He was a member of Painters Local 502. Steve grew his own hops and brewed his own beer. He loved mushroom hunting, and was an awesome cook, which inspired his daughter to attend culinary school. He enjoyed fishing, boating, ATV and Jet Ski riding, visiting water parks, having adventures, and traveling. He especially loved his Grandkids. Including his wife, Jill, survivors include, daughters, Danielle and Breanne Grubaugh of Moline; his parents, Robert Grubaugh of Moline, and Shirley (Wayne) Fatchett of Moline; brothers Jeff Grubaugh of Moline, and Rob Fatchett of Pompano Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Aiyana, Silas, and Salina; and several nieces and nephews.
