Stephen T Klugger

Stephen T. Klugger, 63, of Moline, IL, died Sunday, January 29, 2017, at his home. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on February 4th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Inurnment will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the church. Stephen was born in Moline on September 27, 1953, to Fred Thomas and Beverly (Schatterman) Klugger. He graduated with the Moline High School Class of 1971. He retired from the Department of Defense at the Rock Island Arsenal as a Senior Systems Analyst in 2009 after twenty-five years. He enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, reading, and the Saint Louis Cardinals. He coached baseball for Garfield Elementary School for six years, and was involved in the Dad’s Club and Indian Guides. Survivors include sons, Aaron (Tracy) Klugger of Denver, CO, and Brandon (Laurie) Klugger of Rock Island, IL; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Brady, Willemina, and Maizie; and a sister, Terri Freedman of Tampa, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sherri Lang, and a brother, Jim Klugger.
