Stephen B Stock

Stephen B. Stock, 80, of Moline, IL, died Friday, September 7, 2018, at UnityPoint Trinity West in Rock Island, IL. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.  A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 13 th , at 10:00 a.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with a one-hour visitation prior to the service beginning at 9:00.  Inurnment will be at Green Mount Cemetery in Quincy, IL. Memorials may be made to the Rock Island County Historical Society. Steve was born December 18, 1937, in Quincy, IL, son of Fred and Ethel (Billings) Stock.  He graduated from Northeast Missouri State Teachers College in Kirksville.  He served in the Illinois National Guard, was a former member of Oakwood Country Club, and enjoyed playing golf and telling stories.  He owned and operated Stock’s Cleaning, a dry cleaning business in Moline. Survivors include a sister, Rosemary Rojas of Tampa, FL, and two sisters-in-law, Rea Stock of Seagoville, TX, and Nancy Stock of Tyler, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and two sisters.
