Shirley Mae Larson

Shirley M. Larson, 84, of Rock Island, IL, died Saturday, May 25, 2013, at her home. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date. Wendt Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family. Shirley Mae Hartkop was born February 8, 1929, in Davenport, IA. In 1961, in Moline, she married Larry Lee Larson, who preceded her in death in 2005. She retired after many years as a product tester in market research, and had enjoyed knitting, and caring for her family. Survivors include, sons: Matthew Larson of Phoenix, AZ, and Bill Larson of Rock Island; sister: Jeanette of Washington State: six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, and three sisters.
