Sandra Jane Riggins

Sandra J. Riggins, 86, of Moline died peacefully on Thursday August 17, 2023 at Friendship Manor Silver Cross, Rock Island, IL.

A private service and burial for the family will be held at Greenview Cemetery, East Moline, IL at a later date.

Sandra was born August 19, 1936 in Clifton, IL, the daughter of Dr. Clarence and Iola (Anderson) Ortman. She married Dale R. Riggins on October 21, 1967 in Aledo, IL. Sandra graduated from Moline Senior High School and Northwestern University.

Sandra was a dental hygienist for over 40 years, most of those years at the office of Dr. Ronald J. Cabay. She enjoyed exercise and was a regular at Two Rivers YMCA for many years. Sandra loved her home, which she kept in immaculate condition.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Riggins; children, Kim McKellar (Richard), San Diego, CA, Daniel Riggins (Catherine), Big Bear Lake, CA, Dr. Ronald Riggins (Amy), Moline, IL, and Carrie Pheiffer (Steve), Fraser, MI; grandchildren, Olivia Halom (Ben), Isaac Riggins, Samuel Riggins, Anna Riggins, Grace McCune (Dillon) and Abigail Pheiffer; great grandchild, Desmond McCune.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Barbara Lundberg and her brother-in-law, Dr. Leo Lundberg.
