Ruth E Wells

Ruth E. Wells, 76, of New Windsor, IL, died Monday, November 16, 2015, at her daughter’s home in Moline, IL, surrounded by her loving family. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 19th, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with a visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Ruth E. was born July 11, 1939, in Geneseo, to Howard and Anna (Howarth) Magruder. She married Phillip Wells, Sr. on July 2, 1976, in Geneseo. Ruth worked for many years at Desaulniers Printing Company, Moline, and Case IH, East Moline. She loved spending time with her family and friends and watching NASCAR. When younger, some of her enjoyments were camping and flower gardening. Survivors include her husband; daughters, Joan (Rick) Caldwell, Moline, Paula (Brian) Bird, Moline; sons, Larry Caldwell, Moline, Jerry (Martha) Caldwell, Kewanee, James (Sherry) Morrison Sr, Moline, Phillip (Kathy) Wells, LeClaire; 17 grandchildren ; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathy Johnson, Milan, and Patti Duffer, Rock Island; a brother, George (Vivian) Magruder, Peoria, AZ; several nieces and nephews; and dear to her were many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Rick Wells and Don Morrison; a brother, Donald Howarth; and a sister, Mary Elliott.
