Russell Marion Bledsoe

Russell Bledsoe, 97, of Grand Prairie, TX, formerly of Moline, IL died May 9, 2012, at Baylor All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites were accorded. There will be no local services. The family is being assisted locally by Wendt Funeral Home, Moline. Russell Marion Bledsoe was born in Dugger, IN on January 11, 1915, to Frank and Daisy (Owen) Bledsoe. On November 16, 1939, in Burlington, IA, he married Birdie Evelyn Stringer, who preceded him in death on January 15, 1998. He was a machinist at Moline Tool Company, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Union Congregational Church in Moline. Survivors include: a daughter, Marilyn (Steve) Johnson of Grand Prairie, TX; a son: Thomas (Rene') Bledsoe of Yantis, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and brothers: Gerald, Omer, Frank, Jr., Alfred (infant) Bledsoe, and sister: Vera Eldred.
