Ronald Lee Brown

Ronald Lee Brown, 77, of Moline, IL, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline, IL. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, on Saturday, February 13th, at 12:00 noon, with a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Inurnment will be at Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hope Creek Care Center, the American Heart Association, the Moline Lions Club, or the donor’s choice. Ronald Brown was born in Moline on December 4, 1938, to Leonard and Doris (Figland) Brown. He was married to Erma Meyer in 1960, who survives in Marble Hill, MO. Later, in 1975 in Cedar Rapids, IA, he married Mina Hutchison, who survives in Waterloo, IL. He graduated with the Moline High School Class of 1957, and attended Black Hawk College in Moline, and Iowa State University in Ames. He was owner of the former Brown Tax Service. In addition to his wife, Mina, survivors include four daughters, Cindy (Lonnie) Yount, Connie Killian, and Christine (Rodney) Davault, all of Marble Hill, MO, and Cathy (Bryan) Stroder of Leopold, MO; two sisters, Carol (Ron) VanNatta of Moline, and Debbie (Russ) Jackson of Chillicothe, IL; a sister-in-law, Nikki Brown of Moline; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, all living in Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Gary Brown.
