Ronald F. Carver, 78, of Milan, IL, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at UnityPoint/Trinity in Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 25th, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Services will be Wednesday, March 26th, at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home. In honor of the deceased, who was never on time, the services will start promptly at 10:15 a.m.. Burial will be in Preemption Cemetery in Preemption, IL. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be decided at a later date. Ronald F. Carver was born in Matherville, IL, on March 8, 1936, to Ralph and Bessie (Bestian) Carver. On October 5, 1958, in Aledo, IL, he married Janice Monson, who survives. He was co-founder, and present day owner, of Carver Mill Works. In his younger years, he was an amateur pilot, and loved to fly. He was a member of the NRA, was an avid outdoorsman, and history buff. In addition to his wife, Janice, survivors include: daughters: Kathy (Larry) Weber of Sherrard, IL, and Glenda Carver of Rock Island; son: Butch (Lisa) Carver of Taylor Ridge, IL; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a grandson, Clayton Carver.
