Ronald Edwards

Ronald Edwards, 52, of Rock Island, IL, died on November 1, 2024, surrounded by his family after a battle with colon cancer. There will be a private viewing for family and friends at Wendt funeral home. A memorial service to celebrate Ronald's life will be held at Second Baptist Church, 919 Sixth Ave, Rock Island, IL. Service details are pending and will be posted soon.

Ronald was born on June 29, 1972, in Rock Island, IL the son of O’Neal Tennial & Mable Edwards. He graduated from Rock Island High School in 1990. Ronald was known for his sense of humor; he knew how to tell a joke, good or bad; it didn't matter to him because he'd laugh either way, and he had a contagious smile. Ronald was a proud father. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Ronald also enjoyed cooking and watching sports.

Survivors include his nine children; Daughters Ronnisha, Sha'Ronjuante, Ron'DeJazisha, Ronniecea, and Ronchelle; Sons Markese, Deronjuante, Joziah, and Ronald Jr.; Stepchildren Lacole Gray, and Marzell Gray; Grandchildren Genesis, NehMiah, DeReah, Willow, Sernierity, Harmonii, Baby Rush, Yai’Nejazisha, LaQuadia, DeMar, Le’Jind, Neh’Miah, Cynn’Dayah, La’Xi’yah, Rochelle, Marcole, Da’Miyah; Sister Tracy Copeland.; ex-wife LaQuadia Gray; Charlesetter Burrage; Cousins Marian Hudson, Chanel Harris, and Samantha Breackenridge; Best friend Tramere Angel; and serval other cousins, & friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, O'Neal Tennial and Mable Edwards.
