Ronald D. Shumaker, 76, of Moline, IL, passed away peacefully at his home in Moline, IL.

Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline, at 3:00 pm, with a two-hour visitation before services beginning at 1:00 pm.

Memorials may be made to UnityPoint Hospice or Gildas Club.

Ronald was born to Luther Shumaker and Mary Bartosik on March 14, 1946, in Moline, IL.

He graduated from Alleman High School, class of 1964. Ronald sold real estate in the Quad-City area for over 40 years and later worked in the banking field.

He was a former member of the Quad-City Realtors Association and volunteered on the Ducks Unlimited Committee.

Ron had a variety of interests. He enjoyed recipes, cooking, and hunting in the midwest (especially deer) and loved to garden.

Survivors include his children: Michelle Waugaman of Moline, Tiffany (Ken) Baumgardt of Prairie du Sac, WI, Brooke (Sam) Reeves of White Bear Lake, MN, and Benjamin Shumaker of Stevenson, WA, and Holly Shumaker of Rockford, IL; eleven grandchildren; and twin brother Donald Shumaker of Davenport, IA.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and John Shumaker.
