Roberta Peterson

Roberta 'Bert' J. Peterson, 68, of Moline, passed away peacefully Monday, August 29, 2022, at her home.


Graveside services will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, September 2, 2022, at the National Cemetery on Arsenal Island. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline at 12:00 pm. There will be no visitation at this time.


Bert was born in Moline, Illinois, on December 21, 1953, to Robert and Ruby Thennis. On May 24, 1975, in Moline, she married Charles 'Chuck' Peterson, who passed away in January 2010.


She graduated with the Moline Sr. High School Class of 1971. She loved to vacation on Dauphin Island, watching Christmas movies, making quilts, and spending time with her grandchildren.


Surviving family includes a daughter: Sarah (David) Fulkerson of Moline, IL; two sons: Craig (Karen) Peterson of Bowling Green, KY, and Scott Peterson of Moline, IL; a sister: Rhonda (Tony) Ceurvorst of Moline, IL; a brother: Randy Thennis of Colorado; three grandchildren: Hailey Fulkerson of Providence, RI, Kendall Fulkerson of Moline, IL, and Henry Peterson of Bowling Green, KY, and many nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Peterson, both her parents and brother, Robert Thennis.
