Roberta Blosser

Roberta Blosser, age 92, of Palmyra, MO, formerly of Moline, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, in Palmyra. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008, at National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the Alhzeimers Association. Roberta Kizer was born November 22, 1915, to Edward and Virginia (Bowen) Kizer in Hannibal, MO. She was first married to Henry Nielsen, who preceded her in death. She then married Corliss Blosser on April 24, 1958, in Quincy, IL. He preceded her in death November 29, 2005. Roberta was owner/operator for several area restaurants and diners, including the first restaurant in the former Stardust Motel when it originally opened. She was a member of First Christian Church in Moline, serving as an usher for many years. Besides her husbands, she was also preceded in death by her parents, her step-son, Michael Blosser, a brother, Kenneth Kizer, and four sisters, Betty Pizzarelle, Geraldine Dent, Edith Conner, and Lucille Cary.
