Robert Paul Anderson

Robert P. Anderson, age 59, of Moline, IL. died on Monday, January 1, 2007, at St. Anthony's Continuing Care in Rock Island, IL. Robert P. Anderson was born on June 8, 1947, to Paul and Margaret (Purdy) Anderson in Moline, IL. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1970. Robert was employed as a Contract Specialist for the Rock Island Arsensal for 19 years, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed movies, and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2007, at 5:00 PM at the Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Visitation will be held Friday, January 5th, from 3:00 PM until time of the service at 5:00 PM, at the funeral home. Burial will be at National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, in Rock Island, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Survivors include his daughter: Tracey (Tim) Riddell of Cedar Rapids, IA.; his son: Jason Anderson of Davenport, IA.; a sister: Edyth Hogan of Davenport, IA.; a brother: Larry (Mai) Anderson of Bettendorf, IA.; and two granddaughters: Lucy and Sylvia Riddell of Cedar Rapids, IA.. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters.
