Robert Lynn Haney

Robert Haney, 94, of Moline, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Seminary Manor, Galesburg, IL.

Services will be at noon on Monday, September 18, 2023, with a visitation from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's.

Robert was born in Washington, IA, on March 23, 1929, to Lynn and Marion (Doig) Haney. He married Helen Hahn on May 6, 1955, who preceded him in death on May 30, 2000.

Robert worked at Rock Island Motor Transit as a Truck Driver for 32 years, retiring in 1981. After retiring, he continued to drive for various trucking companies.

Robert enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughters, Nancy (Chuck) Holton of Atlantic Beach, FL, and Joyce (Rick) McFail of Altona, IL; three grandchildren: Stacy (Allan) Stratton, Jacksonville, FL, Sarah Bonaventure, Jacksonville, FL, and Dustin Holton, Atlantic Beach, FL; five great-grandchildren; a sister: Jo (Delbert) Clayton of Moline, and brother-in-law: Emery Davis, Muscatine, IA.

His wife, Helen, and sister, Phillis, preceded him in death.
