Robert James White

Robert J. White, 68, of Moline, IL, died Thursday, July 27, 2017, at his home. Visitation will be Thursday, August 3rd, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Friday, August 4th at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the Honor Guard of American Legion Post #246. Robert was born July 31, 1948, in Moline, to Clinton and Neva (Trevor) White. He attended Moline High School, and served in the U.S. Army in Viet Nam from 1968 to 1970. He was employed for thirty years by John Deere Harvester, retiring August 31, 1996, and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moline. Survivors include a son, Justin (Beth) White of Bettendorf, IA; a daughter, Michelle Bishoff of Rock Island, IL; a brother, Tom White of Peoria, IL; grandchildren, Drew VanDyke, Logan Anderson, and Anderson White; and great-grandchildren, Blair VanDyke, Jakob VanDyke, and Adalynn VanDyke.
