Robert Hundley

Robert “Bud” Hundley, 86, of Moline, IL, died Friday, March 23, 2018, at his home. A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 27 th , from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline.  Services will be Wednesday, March 28 th , at 10:30 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1330 – 13 th Street, Moline.  Burial will be in National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the IAG- Individual Advocacy Group, or the Quad City Animal Welfare. Bud Hundley was born in Moline on May 9, 1931, son of Raymond V. and Darleen (Johnson) Hundley.  On November 27, 1954, he married Marceline R. Finger, who preceded him in death September 10, 1996. After attending college, Bud served his country in the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Japan during the Korean Conflict.  He was employed at Buddy L Toy Company as Traffic Manager, and then managed three Dairy Queen Locations.  He also managed and did the maintenance of several apartments, and painted many houses in the area.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moline and the Elks Club. Survivors include his daughter, Roma Hundley of East Moline; his son, Raymond E. Hundley of Moline; his grandson, Evan Hundley of Moline; and his faithful dog, “Mr. Pugs”. In addition to his wife, Marceline, and his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard and a sister-in-law, Dorothy. Special thanks to Tony Holden, who served Bud many meals, and to the UnityPoint Hospice staff for their wonderful care.
