Robert F. Bertelsen

Robert Bertelsen, 85, of Versailles, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, MO.

Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 12:30 pm.

at Rock Island National Cemetery with military rites conducted. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Wendt Funeral Home, 1811 15th Street Place, Moline, IL 61265, at 12:20 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donor may give to charity of donor's choice.

Robert was born June 14, 1937, in Centerville, SD, to Ervin Bertelsen and Minnie Morey.

He graduated from Wakanda High School in South Dakota, class of 1956. Robert served in the U.S. Navy for four years, and was stationed in Guam. He was emploed as a welder at Case-International Harvester.

Robert loved fishing, hunting, golfing, and most of all his family.

Survivors include daughter Christina (James) Jesuit, St. Louis, MO; sons Wade Bertelsen, Moline, IL, and Wayne Jeffrey (Paula) Bertelsen, Sherrard, IL; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister Delona Kuehn, MO; and brothers Donald (Ramona) Bertelsen, TX, Duane (Leah) Bertelsen, OH, and Elwin Bertelsen, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Delores Apdo, and brother-in-law Irvin Kuehn.
