Robert Earl Hill

Robert Hill, 67, of Rock Island, IL, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, at his home.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are scheduled at this time. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery on the Arsenal at a later date.

Robert was born in Rock Island, IL, on September 8, 1955, to Mamon and Bernice (Johnson) Hill.

Robert graduated from Rock Island High School class of 1974, and attended Northwestern University where he received his Bachelor's degree. He also, served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant. Later he worked as a laborer in construction.

He enjoyed playing the Bongos.

Robert will be dearly missed by his family.

Survivors include a brother Steven Hill, Galesburg, IL; nephew Erin Taylor, Rock Island, IL; and niece Yalanda Nichols, Davenport, IA., just to name a few.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Hershel Hill, Michael Hill, and Carl Hill; and sisters Maggie Hill, and Mary Jackson-Culver.
