Rickey Dean Osborn

Rickey D. Osborn, 68, of Rock Island, IL, died Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at his home.   A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Wendt Funeral Home.

Rickey was born in Unionville, MO, on December 9, 1951, son of Harry and Eva (Robinson) Osborn.   In March of 1970, he married Sandra Johnson, who preceded him in death in 2018.

He graduated from Rock Island High School, and received an Associate Degree from Black Hawk College.  He served in the U.S. Army.  He first worked for the Rock Island Lines Railroad, and then retired as a machinist, after 30 years, from the Rock Island Arsenal. Rickey enjoyed drag cars, and loved helping friends in the pits at the drag races.

Survivors include his daughter, Heather (David) King of Hampton, IL; his son, Steven (Alice) Osborn of East Moline, IL; his brother, Gary Osborn of Alliance, NE; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Russell.
