Richard "Bob" Manasco 82, of Hillsdale, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16th, 2021, at his home.
A private family service will be held at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline and he will be laid to rest at Greenview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be sent to St. Jude's.
Bob was born in Winfield, AL, on February 12, 1938, to Frank and Lema (Webster) Manasco. He married Jan Davis on
May 30, 1959 in Rock Island, IL.
Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963. He worked at John Deere Foundry for 42 years as a supervisor, retiring in January of 1993.
Bob loved spending time with his grandchildren in which included traveling, gardening, camping, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed going to Florida for the winters.
Survivors include his wife Jan, daughter; Cheri Church of Mt. Vernon, MO, son; Bob (Nicole) Manasco of Geneseo, IL, and five grandchildren; Amanda Almanza, David Johnson, Cody Church, Anna McVay, Alex McVay, eight great-grandchildren, and a brother; Don Manasco of Guin, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law Wes, three brothers and three sisters.
