Ralph Axel Efflandt

Ralph Efflandt, 79, of Moline, IL, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015, at UnityPoint-Trinity West in Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be Sunday, March 8th, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, March 9th, at the funeral home. Interment will be at National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. Ralph was born in Moline on August 15, 1935, to Herbert A.V. and Marsha (Felt) Efflandt. On June 14, 1968, in Rock Island, he married Judy Floming, who survives. He served in the U.S. Army, and was employed by Williams White & Company of Moline, retiring September 1, 1997, after more than forty years. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing cards, and loved spending time with friends and family. In addition to his wife, Judy, survivors include a daughter, Cheryl (Chris) Johnson of Hudson, WI; a son, Bruce Efflandt of Sevierville, TN; two grandsons; two granddaughters; a brother, Dale Efflandt of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister, and a son, Brent.
