Phyllis Evans

Phyllis Evans, 89, died peacefully on Monday, August 7, 2023. She was born in Novenger, MO, to Helen Mendina Jackson and Eugene Hoerrmann. She graduated from United Township High School in East Moline. This is where she met the love of her life, her future husband, William Evans. Together they owned and operated Evans Manufacturing in Milan until they retired to Colorado. She loved to paint pictures and was quite good.

Survivors include her daughter, Kim (Joe) Salisberry; granddaughter, Ashley Evans; great-granddaughter, Olivia Evans; sisters, Barbara (Richard) Newberg and Karen (Terry) Smith; sister-in-law, Christine Hoerrmann.

She was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Richard Hoerrmann; brother-in-law, Tom Potter, and many nieces and nephews.

A family memorial service was held Friday at the Palace in East Moline.

She was a fun, loving person . . . may she rest in peace.
