Penelope L Marzolph

Penelope L. Marzolph, 87, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at Genesis Medical Center Aledo in Aledo, IL. Services will be Monday, February 23rd, at 1:00 pm, at First Lutheran Church, 1230 – 5th Avenue, Moline, IL, with a visitation prior to the services beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the National Cemetery on Arsenal Island in Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church in Moline, or to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center in Milan, IL. Penelope was born in Harvey, IL, on February 20, 1927, to Efthemios and Elena (Stampolos) Kokines. In Chicago, IL, in October of 1948, she married Fred J. Marzolph, who preceded her in death June 18, 2011. Penelope was a member of First Lutheran Church, and was a homemaker who most enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include, sons: Steven Marzolph of Davenport, IA, Wayne (Susan) Marzolph of Rock Island, IL, and Marvin (Polly) Marzolph of Fleming Island, FL; brothers: Jim (Fran) Kokines of Lombard, IL, and Bill (Patrina) Kokines of Sacramento, CA; a sister: Esther (Gene) Leszczynski of North Lake, IL ; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, George and Constantine Kokines, and a sister, Katherine Klees.
