Paul E Wadsworth

Paul E. Wadsworth, 81, of Moline, IL, died Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Trinity Medical Center West in Rock Island, IL. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 5th, at 1:00 p.m., at First Congregational Church in Moline. There will be a gathering of friends and relatives immediately following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arrowhead Ranch, Coal Valley, IL, First Congregational Church, Moline, IL., or to a charity of the donor's choice. Paul E. Wadsworth was born in Moline on November 7, 1928, to Paul, Sr and Uarda (Scott) Wadsworth. In Horicon, WI, on September 10, 1955, he married Lois Zuelsdorf. He attended schools in Moline and in Horicon, WI, graduating high school in 1946. He then graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1952. He was employed by John Deere Plow Planter, and retired as Manager of Manufacturing and Engineering, on November 30, 1984, after thirty-one years. He was a member of First Congregational Church in Moline, and Short Hills Country Club. He enjoyed playing golf, and making model airplanes and boats. In addition to his wife, Lois, survivors include a son: Scott S. (Joyce) Wadsworth of Chicago, IL; two daughters: Sarah (Charles) Gilmour of Arlington, VA, and Rachel (Michael) Graetz of Dallas, TX; and four grandchildren: Taylor and Micaela Graetz, and Campbell and Harper Gilmour. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Patricia.
