Patricia Emerson

Patricia Emerson, 79, of East Moline, IL, died Saturday, September 24, 2016, at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26th, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services are Tuesday, Sept. 27th, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Patricia Sims was born in Brilliant, AL, on May 31, 1937, to Virgal and Ludell Pratt Sims. She married William R. Emerson on January 4, 1958, in Fulton, MS. She was a homemaker and enjoyed canning, gardening, flowers, and reading her Bible. She was a member of Fellowship Temple in Silvis, IL, and was a caring person who enjoyed helping people. In addition to her husband, William, survivors include daughter, Peggy Odell and fiance, Michael Livingston of East Moline; sons, Benny Emerson of East Moline, Danny (Martha) Emerson and Timothy Emerson, all of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Barbara Jean Jones of Hamilton, AL, and Shirley Fay McCollum of Winfield, AL; and brother, Johnny Sims of Navoo, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a son.
