Patricia A. Sheffler, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024, at the age of 92, in East Moline, IL. Born on November 17, 1931, in Quincy, IL, Patricia was the cherished daughter of Walter and Virginia (McNeal) Dodd. Her life was a testament to the joy and care she brought to all who were blessed to know her.

On December 1, 1951, Patricia united in marriage with her beloved husband, Jack Sheffler, in Kinderhook, IL. Their life together was filled with love and mutual respect until Jack's passing on June 25, 1997. Patricia's spirit will continue to shine through them as she instilled the same values of love and kindness that she embodied daily.

Patricia's interests were as warm and inviting as her personality. She relished life's simple pleasures, such as bowling, watching her favorite reality TV shows, and engaging in ceramics. Her passion for the arts was evident as she never missed an opportunity to watch her granddaughter perform in theatre and sing in the choir. Patricia was her grandson's biggest fan, always present whenever possible to cheer him on at his bowling matches. Her unwavering support and pride in her grandchildren's achievements were the hallmarks of her nurturing spirit.

Above all else, Patricia was a nurturing soul who prioritized the well-being of her family and friends. Her dedication to ensuring their happiness and care was unparalleled, and she took immense joy in providing for her grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit was a source of comfort and warmth for all who knew her.

The words that best describe Patricia are loving, kind, and generous. These traits were the cornerstone of her character and were evident in every interaction she had. Her warm smile and gentle heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and her memory will be cherished forever.
