Pamela Lee Taylor ND, 67, of Moline, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Genesis Medical Center East in Davenport, IA, surrounded by her loving family. In her memory, Great Vespers and Trisagion prayers will take place January 13th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Christian Mission at 2841 Brady Street in Davenport. Visitation and funeral will be Saturday, January 14th, at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 4900 Kennedy Drive, East Moline. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., and funeral from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park Cemetery in Moline. Wendt Funeral Home in Moline is assisting the family with arrangements. Pamela was born to Lee and Marcia Taylor on November 3, 1949 in Chicago. She graduated from Moline High School and earned her Bachelors in Anthropology from Beloit College in Beloit, WI. She studied architecture at University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and earned a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR. Pam practiced the art of naturopathic medicine for 24 years and worked with patients in the Quad Cities and throughout the United States. She loved to teach and learn, lectured on the subject of naturopathy and wrote several books, including “Simple Ways of Healing”. She volunteered her time to care for orphans in Guatemala. She loved interior design, American Indian culture, writing, cooking, books, and New Mexico. Most of all she loved her savior Jesus Christ and His Orthodox Church. She was strong in her beliefs and had a calming spirit. Pam was a kind woman with a big heart for healing and caring for others. She loved her time with family, especially when everyone got together over a good meal. She loved a good cup of Cuban coffee. Survivors include her mother, Marcia Taylor; siblings Andrew (Nell Wegmann) Taylor of Minneapolis, MN, Christian (Michele) Taylor, and Beth Taylor, all of Moline; niece Lisa Taylor of Baraboo, WI; nephews Paul, Zachary and Jacob Taylor; and great-nephew Paul Jimenez. Memorials may be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Mission in Davenport.
