Opal M Loveall

Opal M. Loveall, age 69, of East Moline, IL, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, IA. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Estates Cemetery in Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Opal M Helms was born in Moline on December 23, 1944, to Wallace and Lena (Streit) Helms. She was a graduate of Moline High School, and received an Associate’s Degree from Scott Community College in Bettendorf, IA. Opal was an Administrative Secretary at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1992 after 20 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in East Moline, the Red Hat Club, she enjoyed crafting, and loved spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include, son Chad Loveall of Moline; daughter Tonya (Troy) Bloomhuff of Coal Valley, IL; mother Lena Helms of Moline; brother Larry (Donetta) Helms of Opheim, IL; four grandchildren; and her beloved cat, ‘Binky’. She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace, and a brother, Gary Helms.
