There will be private family services at a later time, with the Reverend Jacqueline Perry officiating. Interment will be at Moline Memorial Gardens. Olive Lorraine Hilliard was born February 4, 1920, in Ashton, IL, to Isaac and Elizabeth Krug Hilliard. She was the youngest of three children. Olive married Robert E. Cannon on August 31, 1940. He passed away July 7, 1983. Olive was honored to be a long time member of First Congregational Church in Moline. As a golfer, she was proud of having achieved two holes-in-one. She was also known as an amazing and highly sought-after bridge player, and in later years looked forward to those games with great anticipation. Olive did volunteer work in the area and was a member of a service sorority. Olive was a woman of strength and strong character. She cherished her many friends and family, and words cannot describe how much love and devotion she shared with them. Her example was a source of admiration for those who knew her. She will be sorely missed, but she leaves behind many fond memories. Olive was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother Willard, and sister Minetta. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Carole Cannon, and grandson, Robert David Cannon, all of Moline. Her granddaughter, Rebekah Anne Cannon, lives in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She also leaves behind many dear friends who were a very important part of her life. Memorials may be directed to First Congregational Church of Moline.
