Olive J. “Corky Tinsley” Lahl, 78, of Silvis, IL, formerly of Davenport, IA, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015, at the home of her sister in Silvis. Cremation rites will be accorded. Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL, is assisting the family with arrangements. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, September 26th, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, 1550 – 7th Avenue in Silvis. Memorials may be made to the church. “Corky” was born in Iowa City, IA, on November 20, 1936, to Harry R. and Caroline G. (Garlock) Tinsley. Survivors include daughters, Renee L. Keens of Moline, IL, Evelyn K. Gartson of San Antonio, TX, and Brenda L. Berrie of Moline, IL; a son, Roy Kerns, Jr of Davenport, IA; a sister, Shirley J. Hall of Silvis, IL; a brother, Garry D. Tinsley of Llano, TX; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, six brothers, and her son, Alan W. Kerns.
