Norma K Henning

Norma K. Henning, 87, of Rock Island, IL, died Friday, September 20, 2013, at her home. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 24th, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Services will be Wednesday, September 25th, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church in Moline. Norma K. Eriksen was born in Moline on September 12, 1926, to Nels and Alexandrina (Sassi) Eriksen. On April 11, 1959, in Moline, she married Donald M. Henning, who preceded her in death July 14, 2006. She graduated with the Moline High School Class of 1944. She was bookkeeper for Williams White & Company for fifteen years, and then, for Bob Eriksen Chevrolet for fifteen years. She retired in 1987. Norma was a member of First Lutheran Church in Moline. She loved playing golf, and was a league bowler. Survivors include: two sisters-in-law: Blanche Eriksen of Milan, IL, and Joyce Trevor of Vernon Hills, IL; three nieces: Joelle Bergau of Florida, Carol Hoffmann of Moline, and Pat Seddon of Rockford, IL; and a nephew: Richard Eriksen of Minnesota; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Bob and Rene Eriksen; a sister-in-law: Marge Eriksen; and her mother-in-law: Theresa Henning.
