Nancy L Ziegler

Nancy L. Ziegler, 69, of Moline, IL, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008, at Trinity Medical Center West in Rock Island, IL. Nancy L. Kizer was born on January 3, 1939, to Kenneth and Sylvia (Tapley) Kizer in Hannibal, MO. She married James A. Ziegler on August 24, 1963, in Moline. He preceded her in death in 1988. She was first employed by the Rock Island Arsenal, and later worked for over 30 years in the offices of Case I.H. East Moline Works, retiring in 1991. Nancy was a devoted member of First Christian Church in Moline, where she was the church treasurer for six years, and where, for many years, she and James taught Sunday school. She was one of the founding directors of DUQC, Inc, and was a charter member of Partners Investment Club. Nancy and James were also very active in the Valley Sports Car Club. Services will be held Monday, February 4th, at 1:00 p.m. at First Christian Church in Moline. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to time of the service at 1:00. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, in Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Moline, or to the Arthritis Foundation. Survivors include: three sons: Brent (Karen) Ziegler of Wartburg, TN; Chad (Kimberly) Ziegler of Delavan, IL; and Derk Ziegler of Moline; a sister: Ginger Brooks of Hannibal, MO; a brother Wayne Kizer of Moline; and a granddaughter: Emily Ziegler.
