Nancy K. Hayden, 69, of Davenport, IA, died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Genesis Medical Center in Davenport, IA. Visitation will be Sunday, June 27th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL. Services will be Monday, June 28th, at 10:00 a.m., at Hope United Church of Christ in Moline. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hope United Church of Christ. Nancy K. Langbehn was born in Moline on September 18, 1940, to Peter and Margaret (West) Langbehn. On March 26, 1983, in Davenport, she married Lawrence Hayden, who survives. She graduated with the Moline High School Class of 1958, and received her teaching degree at Illinois State University. She taught English at Glenview Middle School in East Moline, retiring in 2000, after 25 years. She was a member of Hope United Church of Christ in Moline, was Church Historian & Registrar, a member of the Ruth Circle, and played in the Bell Choir. She was also a member of the Zal Caldron in Moline. She loved scrap-booking, and made picture albums and scrapbooks for all her children and grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Larry, survivors include: children: Scott Miles of Alpha, IL, Peter Miles of Cedar Falls, IA, Ken Hayden of St. Paul, MN, Sarah Hayden (Mirocha) of Bettendorf, IA, and Emily Hayden-Horning of Fenton, MO; and fifteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother: Mike Langbehn.
