Michael L. Brokaw, 49, of Coal Valley, IL. died on Monday, July 16, 2012, at Trinity 7th Street Campus in Moline, IL. Visitation will be Thursday, July 19th, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline. Services will be Friday, July 20th, at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Michael L. Brokaw was born in Galesburg, IL, on October 24, 1962, to Charles A. and Beverly J. (Cox) Brokaw. On April 9, 2011, in East Moline, he married Sarah Sanders, who survives. He graduated from Moline High School with the Class of 1980, and was a truck driver for Conway Freight Company of Rock Island, IL. He enjoyed working in his yard, and loved to compete with his brothers in bowling, fishing, and golf. In addition to his wife, Sarah, survivors include: parents Charles & Beverly Brokaw of Moline; son Zachary Harness of Moline; daughter Ashley Harness of Coal Valley; and brothers, James E.(Sheri)Brokaw of Andalusia, IL, Charles R. (Gidget) Brokaw of buckeye, AZ, and Anthony G. (Deanna) Brokaw of Leveen, AZ.
